Whether you’re traveling as a couple, with family, or in a group, you’ve found the perfect place. Our expansive Domaine is nestled in a gently rolling, hilly landscape on the edge of a magnificent 350-hectare lake. Here, in the southernmost part of the Gers, at the foothills of the Pyrenees, you’ll discover a beautifully restored farmhouse (maison principale), along with a charming gîte and several outbuildings.
This authentic part of France is often praised as one of the most unspoiled and sparsely populated regions in Western Europe. To us, it’s not just a place—it’s a true holiday oasis.
We embrace a small-scale, personal approach. With just a few safari tents, a gîte, and a couple of elegant guest rooms, we ensure that every guest—young and old—can experience this unique setting in their own way. Here, nothing is mandatory, and everything is possible. No loud entertainment, no structured activities—just plenty of space and freedom to create your own perfect getaway.

Domaine La Barbe is set amidst breathtaking natural surroundings. From majestic red kites soaring overhead to hummingbird moths fluttering among the flowers and roe deer appearing at dawn, the landscape around us is a true paradise for nature lovers. The lake is home to diverse fish species, and the rich variety of birds and butterflies ensures that every walk on our estate feels like a discovery.
The Gers: a region waiting to be explored
The surrounding area offers endless possibilities. Wander through forests, rolling hills, and picturesque villages, or explore the many lakes that define the region. The Pyrenees are within easy reach, offering adventure for those eager to explore the great outdoors. And with Toulouse and other vibrant cities just an hour away, you can seamlessly blend culture, nature, and relaxation.

A Beautifully Renovated Holiday Home for a Relaxed, Carefree Stay.
Our beautifully restored holiday home is fully equipped and designed to offer everything you need for a carefree vacation. Suitable for up to six guests, the gîte combines modern amenities with a warm, inviting atmosphere and plenty of space to unwind.
Outside the high season, the gîte is also available for partial rental: as a studio or as a ground-floor unit.
A fully equipped studio apartment with a kitchen, living area, comfortable sleeping space, and a private outdoor area. Ideal for up to two guests, perfect for a short stay or a work retreat.
This spacious retreat features two large bedrooms, a luxurious bathroom, and a breakfast area with a practical kitchenette. With private terraces and a peaceful setting, the ground floor accommodates up to four guests, making it perfect for holidays as well as business stays.
For those seeking a unique holiday experience, our four luxurious safari tents are the ideal choice. With 60 m? of space, they offer three bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private terrace. Each tent has a private bathroom in a central building. Available from May to November.
Our two spacious and elegant guest rooms (over 40 m2 each) offer a refined stay with a private bathroom. Perfect for those seeking comfort and simplicity in a welcoming atmosphere.

At Domaine La Barbe, peace and space are at the heart of everything we do. Our small-scale holiday retreat offers a personal touch and a relaxed atmosphere, creating what we like to call a true holiday oasis.
You are welcome to enjoy our shared facilities, including: a magnificent 20-meter swimming pool, a spacious covered terrace, a diverse 20-hectare estate full of nature to explore.
Prefer to go your own way? That’s absolutely fine! Whether you want to unwind completely or get active, the choice is yours. Go for a walk, cycle through the countryside, or try other outdoor activities—we’re always happy to offer tips and suggestions to help you discover the best of the area.
Endless Possibilities on the Lake. The vast lake next to Domaine La Barbe is a paradise for water lovers. Whether you want to: swim in crystal-clear water, fish in peaceful surroundings, try stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) – free to use, explore the lake by canoe – also free to use. It’s all right at your doorstep! The lake’s water comes directly from the Pyrenees, making it silky soft and perfect for a natural hair rinse—a little extra luxury from nature itself.

Good food is an essential part of French life—and at Domaine La Barbe, we make sure you experience it in the best way. In France, we call this ‘table d’hôte’: a set menu of delicious home-cooked meals, shared in good company.
During the high season, we welcome you with a tasty 3-course dinner on the evening of your arrival—included in stays of one week or longer. Additionally, on multiple evenings throughout the week, you can sign up for a fresh, locally sourced 3-course dinner. It’s a delicious and effortless way to end the day, all at a friendly price.
